Love Tides ~ An Evening Puja

Friday, June 3, 2016 at 7 PM - 10 PM

Oakland, California

Bring your beloved, or connect with new folks! Treat yourself to an evening of LOVE, an evening of immersion in the journey of genuine Heart Awakening...

A puja is an act of worship, an expression of reverence and devotion. In Tantra we use it to connect with the divine through connecting with our partner. The Love Tides Puja is not like other pujas you may have been to. It doesn't look or feel the same, we don't even sit in two circles and go around, but we do have the chance to connect with many in the room if we want, or stay with the partner we came with if we prefer. The exercises are unique, and designed to bring us into deep self-connection, and drop us into the "Ocean of Love that Surrounds and Connects Us", then to connect with our partner(s) from that place.

What to expect:

* This is a clothing-on event.
* Experiential exercises we do alone & with others.
* Raps on topics, group dialogue, & sharing.
* This event is appropriate for all experience levels.
* This is a highly pleasurable (ecstatic) event, with a focus on awakening & deep heart presence.
* This is not like other Tantra events you have been to. This is authentic work on awakening.

Join us for this juicy ecstatic evening of elevated sensuality.

Cost: $20 - $30

Free Carnaval Parade in San Francisco

May 29-30, 2016 (Saturday – Sunday)

2857 24th Street
San Francisco, CA

Carnaval San Francisco is a beloved Memorial Day Weekend event featuring a Grand Parade and 2–day Festival, celebrating music and cultural elements from Latin American and Caribbean traditions.

Come celebrate with us at the 38th annual Carnaval San Francisco, a FREE 2–day family festival in San Francisco’s Mission District over Memorial Day weekend — on Harrison Street between 16th and 24th Streets — and experience global cuisine, international music, dance, arts & crafts, and other fun activities and entertainment on every street corner for the entire family to enjoy. Carnaval San Francisco is the largest multi–cultural celebration on the West Coast.

The 2016 theme, “¡Viva La Madre Tierra!/Long Live Mother Earth!”, celebrates Mother Earth's prevalence in many cultures worldwide as the manifestation of the natural world.

The concept of La Madre Tierra, or Mother Earth is prevalent in many cultures throughout the globe. She is seen as the symbol of fertility, abundance and the manifestation of the natural world. She not only gives life but sustains it; from her womb she gave origin to all the plants, animals, and people.

Mother Earth is commonly viewed as a benevolent goddess, yet, like every mother, she knows how to get her point across and reprimand her children. She is a warrior and an ever present protector of her creations. Abuse her benevolence and you will feel her wrath by earthquakes, floods, droughts or wildfires.

Orgasm and Wellness

Monday, May 23, 2016 at 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM

Women's Building
3543 18th St Ste 8,
San Francisco, CA

How often do we get an opportunity to be real with each other? It can feel unsafe, inappropriate, or unwelcome by those around you.

This meetup is a refreshing change from the typical networking or sports bar conversation. You get the opportunity to examine yourself. Through other people putting quality attention on you, asking questions with genuine curiosity, and then listening - really listening – to your responses.

What comes up might surprise you!

We play three communication games that will challenge you to consider questions like 'What are your relationships like?' 'What does Orgasm mean to you?' and 'What's one secret desire you have?' Questions like these encourage vulnerability. And, what happens when you get vulnerable? It creates intimacy... which is what we're all searching for!

It's amazing how connected we can end up feeling - even in a room full of strangers - when we are willing to say what's real.

Cost: $10

-What kind of erotic presence do you hold?
-What is the range and depth of you sexual embodiment?
-What can you call forth from your lover?
-What are your edges and how do they hold you back from expressing and enjoying your full erotic potential?

Meriana Dinkova has created SEX MAGIC, a monthly workshop series in which we will share and play with some conceptual and technical tools designed to strengthen our erotic presence, deepen awareness, and enhance pleasure & connection during an erotic or sexual encounter.
To each meeting I will be also bringing different co- facilitators- speakers, sexuality experts and workshop leaders from related areas.

We are excited to open our toolboxes, which we have created in many years of studying and practicing a variety of approaches to influencing, attuning and aligning mind and body. We are also curious what new tools will come to life through your participation. There is a Sex Magician in every one of us.

SEX MAGIC is a combination of external techniques and internal practices. Most of them are aimed at heightening our ability to feel into the intricacies of our experience, to influence it’s quality and to strengthen our presence. We will also show some of its uses in uncovering, evoking and embodying erotic archetypes. They can be valuable and exciting allies for heightening sensitivity, strengthening awareness, sexual healing and for widening the range of erotic play.

This event is meant to be a laboratory for diving deeper into the fabric of human experience and the energies of intention, bliss and presence. We will experiment with different ways of using these energies as vehicles for consciousness exploration.

Through lecture, sharing and exploratory exercises, we will journey on a discovery process that will deepen our erotic self and strengthen our ability to use different aspects of our consciousness to bring more awareness, richness and pleasure in our life.

Come solo or with a partner, but come prepared to discover new ways to make your experience magical!

The Meetup is three hours long - in the last hour there is wine and cheese social.

Cost: $15-25 sliding scale.

* This is a clothing-on event.

Vipassana: A Path to Happiness

June 3 – 5, 2016 (Friday – Sunday)

Mount Madonna Center
445 Summit Rd, Watsonville,
California 95076

How present are you for your own life? Most of us spend more time worrying about the future, replaying the past, or lost in fantasy, than experiencing what life is offering to us right now. Mindfulness — or vipassana meditation —is the practice described by the Buddha for developing wisdom, compassion, and peace by learning to be mindful of what is actually happening in the present moment. This weekend is a traditional Insight meditation (Vipassana) retreat, done primarily in silence, with the practice theme of opening to the true happiness and peace that is available within ourselves. There will be systematic meditation instructions, silent sitting and walking meditation, dharma talks and practice interviews. Suitable for both beginning and experienced meditators.

Cost: $373 (no accommodation)

Erotic Devotion - A Day of Tantric Awakening

Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM (PDT)

Oakland Lakefront Penthouse
2122 Lakeshore Avenue,
Oakland, CA, United States

What is Erotic Devotion really?

How can we experience it, and how is it different from what we usually do in Tantra?

It is said that all our central longings are really the longing for God in disguise. This doesn't mean we wouldn't pursue those things as we're more deeply rooted in our spiritual core, it just means that the quality of longing would be different, and we'd engage our desires from a more fulfilled place, with more feeling of play, lightness of being, and generous tenderness.

Our erotic and relationship longings are among the most powerful and compelling, and are a guide to our core separation wounds, and to our own road home into more complete, lasting, and stable heart awakening. This shows up in how we see our partners, and how we hold our own inner experience in sacred erotic encounters. We can welcome and use everything we experience in erotic connecting to further our awakening. This may happen on it's own for skilled people, but we can learn to shift our attention and expectations to make more space for this awareness, which opens more emotional safety and insights, and allows for more healing and liberation from mild or strong triggered states.

Learn to create a container of Sacred Relationship, where all our dreams and longings for love can actually be fulfilled.

What to expect:

* This is a clothing-on event.

Come join us for a deep dive day into these mysteries, through self-exploration exercises and connecting with others, in a deeply heartfelt space of sacred safety and tribal community, where everyone is respected and at full choice. Culminating in a beautiful celebration of sensual heart connecting...

Cost: $100 ($90 before 5/28, $80 before 5/21)

Sex as Meditation: Sharing Love, Intimacy and Pleasure

Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM (PDT)

2269 Market Street,
San Francisco, CA 94114

There is an assumption in our society that love is easy to give and receive and that things like sex will "just happen" if they are meant to. The reality is that social norms, fears, past experiences with love and sex, and how we view our bodies often stand in the way of us giving what we have to offer and recognizing what is already present for us to receive. We do not let love flow - in or out - and the possibility for abundance is overlooked and our sexual desires go unspoken, waiting for someone to read our minds. Learning how to let love in and be able to fully give ourselves plays a huge role in how we stay in flow.

We invite you to join us for this 4 hour Sex as Meditation workshop where we will explore ways to open ourselves up to the love and sensual attention we want and learn how to be present and listen to others. We will bring mindful awareness to the ways in which we shut ourselves down and find out what we need in order to feel safe enough to open up in our own way and in our own time. This process will open a more loving and compassionate approach to understanding what happens for us in receiving and offering love in the world - with another as well as with ourselves.

This workshop does not include any nudity or explicit sexuality. All genders and sexual orientations welcome.

Workshop duration: 4 hours

Cost: $135

You and your partner have been together for several years now—and somehow, somewhere, despite your best intentions, the romance has faded. You used to reach for each other’s body again and again, but now you find yourselves arguing over and over—about the same old issues!

Maybe you are starting to wonder, Is this all there is? Where did the butterflies go? What happened to the all-night conversations? Maybe you are even starting to think that it must be your fault as a couple. Everyone else looks happy…so it must be us, right?

Let’s get real. Everyone knows this, but no one’s saying it: relationships are hard work! That means you’re not alone. And it’s not your fault. Relationships take maintenance, and no one’s given you the manual. Until now.

Here is the good news: with the right skills and tools, you can have a relationship filled with passion, intimacy, spontaneity, and support. It is absolutely possible for you to build a love that lasts—and we’re here to help!

You will also get a chance for an upfront and personal look at your own BS (belief systems) and a way to relearn through pleasure.

Have you had enough of feeling stuck in your life, or feeling a lack of laser focused inner confidence, or you just want to feel TRUE inner peace - the kind of thing that wells up from deep inside? Not because inner peace is a goal. But because you recognize true peace comes from UPGRADING your mind - which underlies every area of your life...

This is truly an entirely NEW way of thinking. It's a TOTAL life upgrade. Lawrence will share about the 5 games we are all playing in life..........

Look - we upgrade everything else... computers, phones, operating systems... But not our thinking - . Why? Because we literally cannot upgrade something that we do not even see as a problem. Have you ever seen somebody with an old piece of technology struggling through life? They certainly do not NEED to... but they do not know what they do not know. Our THINKING is exactly like that. It is based on old technology - that has to be upgraded if we are ever to see true change in the world. We are passionate about true change that starts from INSIDE.

The evenings will be filled with demonstrations, some hands on experiential learning (optional and low key), and really FUN theory that you can take home and impress your friends and loved ones. This event is intended to be sensual, and energetically sexual, but not physically sexual. As such, it is a clothing required event. All playful activities and exercises will be guided and are optional, and you can do the entire workshop by yourself or with a partner or in groups. You may also observe the entire workshop without any active participation.

48 Hr Negativity Detox

June 24 – 26, 2016 (Friday – Sunday)

California
Woodside, CA

It is our absolute pleasure to welcome you to The Ego’s Code…48 Hour Negativity Detox, with Clayton John Ainger and Special Guest Diane Hunter

Every day we all experience negativity!   It is an unpleasant experience where many people feel overwhelmed, trapped and unable to move forward.  It can also causes us to sabotage success, relationships, health, wellbeing and finances ultimately preventing you from fully experiencing the best of you, the best of your life and living your dreams.

Like you, Clayton has experienced challenges, hardship and negativity, sometimes to the point of incapacitation – from being unhealthy, overweight, enduring a career that made him unhappy, money problems, feeling unloved, unworthy, getting divorced, and being frightened by his spiritual gifts.  Through his own work, Clayton has developed a methodology to help you understand and to reverse the challenges, hardships and negativity you experience.  Clayton's life has changes so significantly and dramatically that he wants to share his insights with you so that you can do the same for yourself.
Many of us perceive negativity as wrong, which can create polarity and great suffering.  We ignore it, avoid it, hide from it, or stuff it down. But it does not stay down for long, because spiritually, negativity is not negative.   There is a divine spiritual reason for it.  It has a meaning and a purpose!

During a meditation at Stonehenge, Clayton received clear and detailed guidance about why we experience negativity and how to be free of it.  Your personal form of negativity leaves clues and patterns for you everywhere.  Clayton calls this The Ego's Code.  All you have to do is notice your patterns, decipher them and use them to experience more happiness and joy in your life.

Clayton offers profound insights and understanding that will change old beliefs about the Ego and perceptions regarding negativity.   He is so excited to share this with you.  Join Clayton, and learn the spiritual reasons for your negativity, its purpose and where it comes from.  Clayton will explain with solutions, the effect on the physical body, the mind, how it interacts with spirit and impacts on your life.
You are invited to meet your spirit guides, release your negativity, to change your reality, so that you can live your dream life.

BodySex Workshop - Women's body image and sexual self-esteem

June 24 - 26, 2016 (Friday – Sunday)

Mission District,
San Francisco, CA

This is the workshop you take when you are tired of the status quo, tired of settling for just enough, when you are tired of hearing that as you and your relationship ages things will naturally slow down.

When you are tired of looking in the mirror and battling with the image that looks back at you, and are tired of wondering what happened to the you of ten years and a couple of kids ago, and are tired of waiting for her to return so you can get your sexy on and feel good about it.

This is where you go to dig in and find answers so you do not go home after another class and find everything exactly the same. There are plenty of places to find a quick and fleeting feel good fix.  Body*Sex is not one of them.

A Body*Sex weekend will give you a safe place to ask questions, explore new ideas and techniques, to laugh, and cry, and celebrate with like minded women.

Safe is not the same as comfortable.  There are very likely pieces that will push you outside your comfort zone, take a deep breath, be nervous and then triumph. That is the beauty of this work, it will challenge you to grow and see yourself with new eyes.  You will not leave the same as you came in. We will get right in deep by embracing nudity from the very start.  Changing how you see your body means you have to be able to see it, and you need to see all of it, without hiding, or looking away, or minimizing the amazing vehicle for life, you inhabit.

If you have never spent time nude, you will be amazed at how fast you stop seeing people as parts and begin seeing the radiance of each woman who shares the space, including your own.

I will share with you the secret to being good in bed and how to write you own personalized pleasure manual. We will start by revitalizing our relationship to our first, best, and most constant lifetime lover; ourselves. I will provide you with quality tools and step-by-step instruction on how to use them.

Good tools require practice.  An extended erotic-recess will allow you to experience a range of sexual styles without expectation on any outcome other than you follow your own pleasure and have fun.  You will find that a masturbation class is much lighter and filled with more laughter then you imagine.

Pleasure is your birthright and you are here to remember all the ways that you can increase this in your life.  Many of us use alcohol or drugs to feel comfortable in our own skin and take our clothes off and be intimate with a partner.  Come experience the same ease, no enhancement required, through the power of the circle of women. The weekend of Body*Sex is unlike anything else out there.  Please join me in the circle and discover your own sexual self and how to set her free.

Cost: $760

35th Annual Fountain Blues Festival

Saturday, June 25, 2016 @ 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Plaza de Cesar Chavez Park
170 S Market St, San Jose, CA 95112

A variety of non-stop live music steeped in blues, soul, gospel and zydeco from around the globe will perform in downtown San Jose's central park - Plaza de Cesar Chavez for the 35th Annual Fountain Blues Festival.

Confirmed headliner is THE CALIFORNIA HONEYDROPS www.cahoneydrops.com

Led by dynamic vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Lech Wierzynski, and drawing on diverse musical influences from Bay Area R&B, funk, Southern soul, Delta blues, and New Orleans second-line, the Honeydrops bring vibrant energy and infectious dance-party vibes to their shows. They’ve taken the party all over the world: on 9 European tours, featured slots at such premiere festivals as Monterey Jazz, High Sierra, and Outside Lands, and recent performances supporting B.B. King, Dr. John, Buddy Guy, and Allen Toussaint. Whether in those high-profile performances or in more intimate venues where the band itself can leave the stage and get down on the dance floor, the California Honeydrops’ shared vision and purpose remain: to make the audience dance and sing.

AND THE REST OF THE LINE UP....

Otis Taylor Band - Part of Taylor's appeal is his contrasting character traits. But it is precisely this element of surprise that makes him one of the most compelling artists to emerge in recent years. In fact, Guitar Player magazine writes, "Otis Taylor is arguably the most relevant blues artist of our time." Whether it's his unique instrumentation (he fancies banjo and cello), or it's the sudden sound of a female vocal, or a seemingly upbeat optimistic song takes a turn for the forlorn, what remains consistent is poignant storytelling based in truth and history.
