Nexus
1436 Howard St, #201
San Francisco, CA

Miscommunications are common, boundaries get crossed, and hurt feelings happen - but they don’t have to end in disconnection. Reacting defensively, blaming others, offering empty apologies, or going into fix-it mode are ineffective ways of coming back into connection. Instead, successful repair conversations allow for you to feel closer than ever before as you build trust and gain confidence in your ability to withstand inevitable relational challenges.

In this workshop led by Dr. Alison Ash of TurnON.love, you will:
·         Receive a clear formula for repair conversations that will teach you when and how to do it effectively.
·         Practice courageous vulnerability and heartfelt empathy - necessary ingredients for connection.
·         Expand your capacity to be with challenging feelings and learn how to express them in a way that creates closeness.
·         Discover how sharing disappointment can strengthen your bond.
·         Learn how to effectively hold space for others emotions, take responsibility when appropriate, and offer genuine reassurances.

All relationships have their challenges, and repair work is essential for building trust, deepening intimacy, and maintaining healthy connections.

How We Love - Relationship Conference

Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM PST

Campos Family Vineyards
3501 Byer Road
Byron, CA

Campos Family Vineyards and Freedom House are coming together to put on this amazing conference! We welcome, singles, engaged couples and married couples to attend to strengthen your relationships!

Our most common reaction to this material is, “Why haven’t I ever heard this before?” We help individuals discover their love style (attachment style) and explain the predictable core patterns that occur when each partners love styles collide. Once a couple has a clear explanation for their predictable dance that causes the same problems to arise again and again, we then give a road map for growth and tools to end harmful patterns and create deeper intimacy in your marriage. This material all comes together at the end of the day when Milan and Kay works with a volunteer couple live on stage.

Lunch is available for purchase. You are welcome to bring your own lunch to enjoy on the property.

February Ruach Dance!

Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 7 PM – 9:30 PM

Congregation Etz Chayim
4161 Alma Street,
Palo Alto, California

Please plan to join the fun at Etz Chayim's next Ruach (Breath of Spirit) Dance. Experience the joy of free-form meditative movement guided by beautiful music, Saturday, February 23, 7:00 pm - ~9:30 pm.  Stay for vegetarian potluck snacks right after, and make a few new friends.

You don't need to be a member of Etz Chayim, believe in God or even be Jewish to enjoy participating.  Meditative movement is easy and appropriate for all ages -  you just "dance as if no one were looking."  Dropping out of words, you'll discover personal insights as you connect with that "still small voice" inside through this innovative, embodied way to center, pray, feel refreshed.  And it's fun - smiles guaranteed!

Shake off the stresses of the week and experience the Divine shefa (flow) within your whole being through free-form ecstatic dance, guided by kavanah (intention) drawing on Jewish texts and ideas.

Our open floor provides a safe, non- judgmental/non-performance environment, allowing you to explore free-form meditative movement guided by carefully-curated recorded music.

No talking on the dance floor lets us move out of our heads and into our bodies, hearts and spirits.
No experience needed. Free-form means no set "steps" to learn (though during initial stretching/warm-up time we offer newcomers a few tips). It's easy: if you can walk, sit and/or move your arms, you can enjoy this experience. Our meditative movement space is for self-expression - not a night-club or party vibe. [Event is drug and alcohol free); no photos/videos allowed; phones muted & out of sight.]

A beautiful quiet area in back allows you to slow things down yet still participate as a meditative listener. You choose your own pace and move however you like.

After our musical journey, we'll gather in a sharing circle.  If it's dark, we may do Havdalah (to end Shabbat sweetly together).  Always included is time for healing prayers for those in our lives (and for the world).

Sunday, February 24, 2019 at 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM PST

Muir Beach Community Center
19 Seacape Dr
Muir Beach, CA

ShaktiPlay is a nondual spiritual practice through embodiment. We promote non-rejection, compassion and non-polarization.

The practice is based on movement as a vector to connect with our breath and sound to activate our Shakti (our Life Energy), and come to a state of bliss, opening of the heart, and experiencing the gift of feeling fully alive.

·         We do not demonize or reject our sexual energy, which is also our life force energy.
·         There is no nudity, no sexual touch, no kink.
·         80% of the practice is non-verbal, no small talk, no conventional socialization. It is safe to be yourself.

Bring your breath, your sound, your movement, your energy, your presence, your sorrows, your playfulness, your wildness, your sexiness, your shyness... You are welcome, just the way you are.

Who is this for?

This is for you if:
·         You’re looking for a non-dual spiritual practice that includes embodiment.
·         You are oriented toward a sacred union in a monogamous relationship. Whether you already have a partner, or looking for one.
·         You’re wondering how to nurture and strengthen an healthy -and ever transforming- long term relationships, beyond the "honeymoon phase" or the "high oxytocin phase".
·         You would like to feel and sense Energy, and play with it.
·         You would like to strengthen your life force energy and sex drive with an aging body.

What to expect?

The practice is based on movement as a vector to connect to center and sacred space: movement meditation, getting in touch with our core energy and dropping into sacred space before engaging with others, practicing boundaries and awareness through movements.

Types of exercise:
·         Opening Sacred Space and Calling the Directions.
·         4 Directions Movement Meditation (music composed and produced by Olivier): this meditation is based on a gentle swinging movement that is designed to naturally bring you back to your center and connect with your Hara (3rd Chakra). ·         Other active meditations from Osho.
·         Relaxation and surrendering exercises.
·         Dance your Tribal Self: express your aliveness and celebrate life through the dance of the divine masculine and divine feminine archetypes and evoke erotic polarization.
·         Somatic exercises to strengthen your sense of boundaries and personal space.
·         Tantric Energy Circulation: a fun and interactive practice to move our life force energy -or Chi- and play with masculine and feminine energy principals.

THE ART OF JEALOUSY: A Workshop for Women Reclaiming Connection

Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM  5:00 PM

Fairfax, CA

This is a workshop for women who want to transform their experience of jealousy into one of empowerment, confidence, and connection.

This is a workshop for women who see how their avoidance of jealousy inhibits their ability to be fully present, confident, and authentic in their relationships.

This is a workshop for women who are ready to explore their own experience of jealousy, so they can transform it into more connection, pleasure, and turn-on in their relationships then they ever thought possible.

Is this you? Thank you for being here. Please keep reading.

We exist in a culture that has conditioned women to see each other as the enemy. So much emphasis has been placed on winning the approval of men, that we will often see our sisters as competition, outwardly or passive-aggressively throwing each other under the bus in order to achieve our desired goal--being “chosen”.

What if there was a way that our sisters could become allies in helping us to receive *everything* we could possibly want in our lives--from sex, to intimacy, to prosperity? What if there actually is more than enough men, pleasure and fulfillment to go around?

And what if being honest about our jealousy, rather than avoidant or deceptive about it, actually holds the key to EVERYTHING we desire?

That’s what this workshop is all about.

Through a combination of partnered exercises, dynamic group sharing, and experiential learning, you’ll learn practices for transforming toxic forms of jealousy into empowered connection that helps us cultivate more of what we TRULY want in our lives and relationships.

Some of the questions we will explore in the workshop include:

What is jealousy? And why are so many of us terrified of feeling it, let alone acknowledging that it exists? How can we utilize the powerful energy of jealousy to create deeper trust, safety, and connection than we ever thought possible in our relationships?

Facilitator: Arielle Brown

Cost: Cost: $175

Ashkenaz Music & Dance Community Center
1317 San Pablo Avenue
Berkeley, CA

The Levoná Ensemble combines Flamenco, Arabic, Jewish, and other musical traditions, and weaves them together with stories, both ancient and new. Levoná began as the band for the highly acclaimed Bay Area musical “Love Sick”, winning the Theatre Bay Area Award for Best Ensemble along with the cast in 2017. Love Sick went on to receive the TBA award for Best Director, and the prestigious Glickman Award for Best New Play in 2018. Audiences and critics alike praised its vibrant music as the heart of the play's energy and wide appeal. We are not only going to discuss, but practice in structured exercises, and then blend into a Cocktail Party, where you can continue to practice!
