Sovereign: Owning Your Presence

January 56, 2019 (Saturday - Sunday)

3659 Laurel Ave,
Oakland, CA

- Learn to respond vs react to life.
- Source your happiness and inspiration from within.
- Become more grounded and comfortable in your own skin.
- “Welcoming what is” – become at ease and in harmony with current reality, exactly as it is.
- Identify your feelings accurately, articulate your emotions and express your specific needs in connection.
- Deepen your authentic presence so that it can be felt by everyone you encounter.
- Learn how vulnerability, transparency, permeability and “owning your experience” helps melt tension and anxiety in any interaction.

Are you living a Life worthy of your Dreams? Let's discover how together. We believe this is a practice that can change the way the world relates. But it starts with you! Join us and see for yourself what possibilities emerge.

What does circling look like in terms of format?
A group of 4-10 people sit in a circle and put their attention primarily on one person, and, with the help of a facilitator, notice what it's like being with this person moment by moment, share impact and observations, and co-explore what that person’s experience and world is like, essentially getting into deep relationship with what is most true and really alive for that person.

The principle is simple in essence but the practice in full expression is radical and rare. We experience “being seen” for who we authentically are without limits, one of the most rewarding experiences we can have as human beings, and Circling teaches us exactly how to see and celebrate each person for the unique flavor they bring to the world.

We don’t give advice or try to fix anyone, which can so easily backfire. Rather, we welcome and stay with “what is”, so we can relax into the truth of our experience, feel supported, know we are not alone and allow the experience of this to deepen and more sustainably transform us. The results are often magical.

Soul Motion: Room for you

January 4 – 5, 2019 (Friday – Saturday)

Whenever you and I are willing to take a stand we create room within ourselves to be ourselves – to no longer deny our own flowering. To allow room to bloom.

In this workshop, using the platforms of Soul Motion, we will invest in and investigate ways to fully inhabit our own bodies. With our feet we will tend the soil to create fertile ground on which to risk, grow, fall and rise.

New Year's Eve Open Circle

Monday, December 31, 2018 at 7 PM – 9 PM

Masonic Lodge
890 Church St,
Mountain View, California

An Open Circle is an intentional container that we dancers co-create with our bodies and our attention. We are both the movers and witnesses to each other's experience. In an Open Circle, there are three roles to choose from at any moment: mover, witness, and the space in between.

Movers are free to move in and out of the center of the circle as you feel drawn. You can choose to dance the whole time, witness the whole time or any combination thereof. You are free to move alone, with others or the group body.

The Witness is one who is receptively taking in what's occurring and unfolding, noticing what you are sensing and feeling inside and outside of you, as you take in the movers and the ever-changing dance before you.

The space in between is the fuzzy place between mover & witness where you are exploring the pull to be in the center or to stay as the witness. The attention is on your internal sense of what's next for you.

A musical soundscape designed for movers to creatively explore emptying and calling in will be offered. You are also invited to bring a journal or simple art supplies to support your journey.

We'll gather at 7:00 pm with a short arrival window (doors close at 7:30) and end by 9:00 pm, leaving plenty of time to head on to other celebrations.

Dinner together at a nearby restaurant will follow class for anyone inclined to join us.

Facilitator: Claire Alexander

Cost: $20

Burning Bowl Ceremony & Your Personal Year

Sunday, December 30, 2018 at 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM PST

Kentfield, CA

The Burning Bowl ceremony is an inspirational ritual to release the past, or anything that might be holding you back from living and creating in your highest state possible.

Why do it at this time of year?

The significance of the year end gives us more willingness to let go of something in our lives – from negative habits, unhealthy relatioships, a worn out mindset or pattern of belief. It’s the time to leave it behind and get ready to start afresh.

Reasons to Perform a Burning Ceremony

This simple ritual of the Burning Bowl aims to cleanse and release any unhealthy inner patterns in consciousness, or any situation that has caused regret, shame, anger or stress. This could be stemming from relationships that have caused pain, an unsatisfying job, negative energy, an unhealthy mindset, or a negative thought process.

The Process

Our process will include a powerful meditation and reflection to prepare your heart and mind to identify what wants to be released in the Burning Bowl. You are asked to bring a journal or notebook to write your reflections as you prepare for the actual the burning.

The Burning Bowl ritual will take place individually outside as one by one you place your handwritten paper in the fire and release that which no longer serves you.

An Extra Boost to help you move into the New Year with clarity.

Your Personal Year with Sally Faubion

After everyone has completed the burning process we will have a very special session with numerologist Sally Faubion. Sally will offer her insight and wisdom to each one of you based on your date of birth. This will be a small aspect of what you can expect as you move into 2019.

Cost: $79

Cuddle Party experiences teach participants, they alone create their own safety container. How did it change my life? When I was growing up and received a NO, it felt like I was being rejected. The profound learning came when I realized my unyielding YES’s became a subconscious inability to trust another person’s YES, without their own personally vocalized NO!

Doorways to Devotion: A New Year's Ceremony of Adoration & Connection

Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 6:00 PM – 10:30 PM PST

El Cerrito, California

Something sacred for the NEW YEAR this way comes. . .

I've been feeling very tender. Looking deep into my patterns of longing for intimacy and yet fear of entrapment. Sometimes group sensual events can scare me with their pacing. I can almost feel forced into emotional and/or sensual connection yet at the same time desire it.

I also hate a loud, drunken, raukus New Years parties. At the end of the year I want to figure out what worked and what didn't. I want to envision anew. I yearn for something profound.

I began to wonder if there was a way to bring together heart based beings, of spirit and senses.

So HEY look here with me INTO a room filled with candles, holy day glow, warm feels, and radiant beings. We ENGAGE hearts, bodies, minds, and souls to ceremonialize our senses, raising a cone of power to create an irrevocably magnificent NEW Year!

How does that sound?

If it resonates with you, we would adore sharing a divine evening with you. WHO ARE WE?

Francesca Gentille, Shaman of the Sacred Sensual & Michael Author, Transformational Sorcerer bring a NEW YEARS CEREMONY to delight the senses, open the heart, and ignite an ecstatic 2019!

Facilitators: Francesca Gentille and Michael Author

Cost: $45 - $55

Soulstice Full Moon: Deep Dance Journey

Saturday, Dec 22, 2018, 7:30 PM – 1:00 AM PST

Yoga Flow SF - Ocean
385 Ashton Avenue
San Francisco, CA

Join us in ceremony as we gather as conscious community with Intention, Song, and Dance to touch our inner-most depths & move through darkness to awaken the Light on this auspicious night.

Amidst the fog of the concrete jungle, we turn on our inner flames to dance forth hope, earth-based connection, and wholesome healing for the world to feel the call home to.

With the help of soft Sacred Medicines such as Hapé (shamanic snuff) and Cacao (raw chocolate), we will transition from a Song Circle and open up to an all-night conscious movement flow held to invoke evolutionary in-sight & embodied freedom on behalf of the collective.

[THE NIGHT FLOW]

HAPÉ + CACAO CEREMONY w/ Song Circle

We will start off the evening with an optional round of Hapé / Rapé; a traditional, non-psychoactive, indigenous Amazonian blend of various natural herbs (often including tobacco), that are blown up one’s nose to facilitate deep and immediate states of meditation, energetic cleansing, prayer, and grounding.

This will then be followed with the Meso-American medicine of Cacao (chocolate in it’s pure, unprocessed essence); long hailed as a super-food and highly valued sacred plant ally for it’s capacities to stimulate the soul and facilitate juicy heart-body connection.

(All medicine usage is consensual, legal, and optional)

While we are consuming these Mild Medicines- we will join together as community in Sacred Song Circle for the first hour of the night. Feel free to bring a song, or instruments!

We will have copies of lyrics for our favorite Medicine Songs to accompany us in opening up our hearts and channels to invoke communal healing and joy.

DANCE JOURNEY w/ DJ Bosque and DJ Audionai

(ETHNIC ~ DOWNTEMPO ~ GLOBAL ~ TRIBAL ~ DEEP HOUSE)

Audionai and Bosque will be going back to back throughout the night, cultivating a steady flow for deep journeying and ecstatic embodiment to the soundtracks of global house- meant to guide listeners into communion with the earth and it’s various indigenous mystical traditions of sound, rhythm, movement medicine, and ceremony.

The diverse mix of sacred electronic music will be accompanied by live world instrumentation and vocals - offering an additional organic element throughout this immersion into our ancient future.

There will also be some brief guided movement / meditative portions - and a mostly open container to drop in and dive deep.

+ SOUND HEALING

A closing live ambient / acoustic sound bath will follow the dance for integration including brief (optional) one-on-one treatments with tuning forks, healing touch, and energy clearings to relax the body into a peaceful, balanced state of love and light.

WHAT TO BRING (optional):
• A water battle
• Comfortable dance attire
• An empty stomach (suggested to not eat 4-6hr prior to drinking cacao for full effects)
• An offering or instrument

Cost: $20 - $25

Barrio Mannouche and HowellDevine at Ivy Room

Friday, December 21, 2018 at 9 PM – 11 PM

Ivy Room
860 San Pablo Ave,
Albany, California

Barrio Manouche

Barrio Manouche is an acoustic San Francisco-Based international collective (Spain, Quebec, France, Mexico, Brasil, Colombia and California), playing music that will take you on a magical journey, frequently joined by artist from all over the globe.

The ensemble has been recognized for its surprise concerts, innovative style, complex technique, and their passion for their musical improvisation.

The band performs a repertoire of original, mostly instrumental compositions with a unique sound that it’s difficult to classify but instantly recognizable, deeply influenced by a range of musical traditions, from the swing of Louis Armstrong and Sidney Bechet, to the Hot Jazz of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli, the Gypsy soul of Eastern Europe, the Nuevo Flamenco of Paco de Lucía and Camarón de la Isla to the Avant-Garde sounds of Miles Davis, Ornate Coleman and John Coltrane.

HowellDevine

Sexy, Shack-Shaking Music
HowellDevine, the massively talented NorCal trio became the first blues band Arhoolie Records (Fred McDowell, Lightnin' Hopkins, Big Mama Thornton) signed in 27 years. Triple threat talent Joshua Howell (slide guitars, harmonica, voice) and percussion savant Pete Devine (drums, washboard) plus veteran upright bassist Joe Kyle Jr. deftly mix sinuous Delta/country blues with wildly syncopated rhythms to create a rollicking present day sound from the past. HowellDevine breaks from the norm, providing rich and complex textures integral to the music rather than simple backing for a soloist. The result is a sound which stands in stark contrast to the typical blues heard in bars these days and would more likely be shaking the floors of a Southern juke joint some 70 years ago.

Cost: $10 - $14

If you have a Cushion, please bring it. If you need a chair, please let us know...

Mt. Tam’s Integration Circles and Educational events seek to be a welcoming space for people who want to discuss entheogenic use in a healthy way. When we have an intense or profound psychedelic experience, it can be hard to describe, especially when we don’t have anyone to talk about it with. Giving voice to our experience with like minded people can enable us to put things in perspective, gain new insight, and find resolution.

By listening to other’s experiences, we can learn about how they try to ensure safe and healthy use, gathering a collection of tools and best practices.

Our Circles give people an opportunity to meditate together, share their stories, ask questions, give and receive feedback. We are excited to hear all of your voices, and look forward to learning from all of you.

Underground Forest: Story and Song Medicine for Women

December 15 - 16, 2018 (Saturday – Sunday)

Resource Center for Nonviolence
612 Ocean Street
Santa Cruz, CA

As the last leaf falls from the tree of Autumn, and you stand at the threshold of Winters invitation, there awaits a path leading you to a place of remembering. You've heard the call of the soft song beckoning you through the trees, whispering to your soul the melodies that you have been yearning to feel ring through your being.

….The Underground Forest Is Calling To You.

The path from here to there is not one where many foot steps have gone before you. Listening and Kinship is required for you to see the mythic thread unfolding as your Destiny emerges.

A deeper wisdom beckons now, as you follow the inner howl of your heart.
To pick up the thread of the story that leads you.
Deeper. And Deeper Still.

Join Sirena Andrea and Marya Stark in a two-day exploration of Story and Song, mapping the lay of the land of your own Underground Forest. Through storytelling, somatic integration, vocal alchemy and songwriting, walk through the realms of your innermost being and come out of the forest with a new story and song to bring forward into the next chapter of your life.
