Kundalini Yoga Sound Immersion Experience

Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 5 PM - 7:30 PM

Breathe Together Yoga
14107 Winchester Blvd, Ste H,
Los Gatos, California

In this workshop, you will learn ancient technologies from the lineage of Kundalini yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan to shake up patterns of negativity in your mind and set yourself for a positive outlook. There are three functional aspects of the mind; negative mind, positive mind, and neutral mind. The negative mind is essential in that it senses danger and protects us from harm. The issue arises when we become stuck in our negative mind and don’t feel we have the power to rise above it.

Alongside the atmospheric and etheric quality of the sound immersion experience, we will dive deep into potent meditations and chants that will grant you the life force energy to overcome negativity and release fear. The positive mind allows us to see the good in ourselves and recognize the opportunities in even challenging situations. It is solution-oriented, and it can become your greatest ally, but we must learn how to harness it and apply it to living.

The last hour, you will lay in savasana and be guided into a deep meditation by the sound vibrations of the singing bowls, gongs and chimes. These healing vibrations pass through our bodies, opening blockages and allowing our minds to quiet. The physiological benefits of sound on the body, emotions and cognition is transforming.

Tantric Expansion Cacao Ceremony in San Francisco

Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM PST

Yoga Society of San Francisco
2872 Folsom Street
San Francisco, CA

Join transformational facilitator Nick Meador for a cacao ceremony weaving together holistic (mind/body/spirit) therapeutic practices to break through what’s limiting your true potential and start maximizing your life purpose and fulfillment. Nick is returning to Yoga Society SF after a stop on his Soul Lift Cacao Tour in October 2017!

This will be a "white tantra" experience focused on soul healing and life force expansion. We'll de-armor the body and clarify the mind so that we can create more productive life patterns. This opens up the path to more bliss and connection with the divine, whether within ourselves, with a partner, or with a whole community.

This is not specifically a couple's workshop. Individuals and pairs are all welcome.

We’ll have an opening circle to support each other with intention for the ceremony. Nick will serve the gentle plant medicine cacao, grown organically in eastern Guatemala at a family farm that he visited personally. Pure cacao opens the heart, deepens meditative experiences, and fosters inner/outer connection.

Then Nick will lead you through an embodied practice such as an OSHO active meditation or a bioenergetics exercise. These shake things up on the cellular level, so we can reset the nervous system and re-write the muscle memory to literally feel more free and energized.

Afterwards we'll have an interpersonal exercise that still involves the body but adds in a communication element. This could range from re-patterning unhelpful social conditioning, to guidance around safe touch and intimacy. Then Nick will lead an integration circle to close the journey.

Cost: $25 - $35

The Art of Surrender

Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 10:00am - 4:30pm

Spirit Rock Insight Meditation Center
Woodacre, CA

We often think of surrender as giving up, being weak or indifferent; being afraid or anxious from not being in control. And yet, the effort required to try to control something or someone can be exhausting, making us wonder, is there a better way? Can we learn the art of skillful surrender?

When we reframe surrender as intentionally letting go of that which no longer serves, we can begin to open to the vast possibilities of peace, inner quiet, and the freedom of resting in the present moment, exactly as it is.

Together, we will explore the terrain of surrender through alternating periods of silence, didactics, reflections, journaling, and small and large group discussions.

Facilitator: Christiane Wolf

Cost: Sliding Scale $75 - $200

UNION: ceremony of medicine & dance

Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM PST

The Center SF
548 Fillmore Street
San Francisco, CA 94117

What is the ceremony?

For 3 hours, you will be guided through meditation, energy exercises (solo + partner) and music (live + DJ)

What is union?

To transcend our nature, to become a limitless possibility. Some may call it flow, a state in which the analytical mind has dissipated. We are all seeking union, the ever expanding state of our infinite awareness. Our ego will always tell us to look outside of ourselves, to blame, obtain, doubt, and fear. We create stories in order to validate our experience, which in turn separates us from the flow. This ceremony aims to cultivate this flow state within each of us.

What is medicine?

Medicine may appear as affection from a person or dog, the warmth of the sun, the shade from a tree, the mist of the ocean, the sound of a drum, a blend of tea, or the view from a summit. Medicine is anything we perceive separate from ourselves which promotes healing or balance within ourselves.

Our expectations?

·         We do not join under the influence of any substance, including alcohol, marijuana & coffee
·         We create a safe grounded conscious space for healing and growth
·         We do not discuss other people’s experiences outside of the circle
·         We respect everyone’s journey, it may not look like our own
·         We encourage emotional / energetic releases
·         We have come to participate in solidarity

Cost: $30
