Come to Lake Merritt in downtown Oakland and learn about
rowing – an invigorating, intense, fun, and bonding sport which hosts a
National Learn To Row Day every year in June.
Sign-ups begin at 8:45 am. The last boat will launch at
12:30 pm. On-site reservations are required on a first come, first served
basis. Must be present to register. Come early to secure a seat in a boat.
Note: Participants must be at least 15 years old. Minors
(under 18) must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Wear comfortable, tight-fitting athletic clothing (loose
clothing can get in the way), socks, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and bring a
bottle of water.
