We will play some games together so you can feel the experience and get to know what works and what does not. At home, at work, at the checkout line, so you can make everyone's day light up.

So... Come play. Come laugh. Feel the connection. Make eyes sparkle, cheeks flush, feel the heat of fun. Learn your flirtation style and explore the flirt in you.

Fluid Body/Fluid Life Workshop

Sunday, December 6, 2015 @ 1pm to 4pm

Subud Santa Cruz
3800 Old San Jose Road,
Soquel, CA 95073

All life is movement. Everything living has, at its most elemental level, an elaborate constellation of waves, pulsations, undercurrents, whirlings and shimmerings. Through this world of movement, we are connected to life itself and every aspect of our biosphere, from the furthest stars in the universe, to the molecular spinnings under the skin. Awareness of ourselves as movement begins by developing our sensitivity to our intrinsic world.

Through breath, sound, and movement, we begin to enlarge our capacity to live from the inside out: To move, speak, think, love, play and work as liquid organisms in a friendly world. Stepping outside of the cultural models of “body” and “shape “we will discover the deep inner world of fluid that exists outside of disease, trauma or fixed ideas.

No previous experience necessary

Preregistration required 2 weeks before each event

Hypnotic Restorative Yoga

Saturday, December 19, 2015 @ 2:30 pm - 5:45 pm

Yoga Tree @ Telegraph
2807 Telegraph Ave., Unit #A, Berkeley, California
(510) 486-1989

Hypnotic Restorative Yoga is a sacred union of the powerful healing energies of hypnosis and restorative yoga- creating a safe and spacious internal atmosphere of positive transformation for psyche and spirit.

In this workshop, we draw from ancient, shamanic and earth-based healing traditions, Buddhism, Hinduism, hypnotherapy and transpersonal psychology to create a modern fusion of collective healing energy. Embracing the subconscious as a source of wisdom and guidance, we contact the satguru (inner-healer) to direct each individual’s healing journey. We cultivate a grounded, centered, positive psychological state through restorative yoga postures, guided imagery, hypnotherapy and meditative practices to transform body and mind toward greater wholeness. By embarking on this unique healing journey, you move toward the freedom, grace, and highest aspiration you may be seeking (at this time of global shifts.)

John Rettger, a Yoga Tree teacher and a doctor of clinical transpersonal psychology, guides you through a deep and blissful restorative yoga sequence creating physical openness and receptivity allowing the mind to soften and settle into the hypnotherapy practices directed by Ewa Litauer, a hypnotherapist, restorative yoga teacher, and Reiki healer. Together, John and Ewa weave a tapestry of sacred space allowing you to access and mobilize your own inner healing potential.

This workshop is open to practitioners of all levels of experience with yoga. No previous yoga experience is required. This workshop is especially beneficial for those experiencing stress, chronic illness, fatigue, difficulty sleeping, pregnant women, new parents, couples, women desiring to get pregnant, or those seeking to deepen their psychological and spiritual awareness.

New Year's Retreat

December 27, 2015 - January 1, 2016 (Sunday – Friday)

Green Gulch Farm
1601 Shoreline Highway
Muir Beach, CA 94965

This retreat held in the last days of the year offers a time of quiet and community, with a gentle schedule allowing for rest, reading and walking to nearby Muir Beach and in the hills surrounding Green Gulch Farm. Participants are invited to join the Green Gulch community in the daily schedule of early morning meditation, service, temple cleaning and breakfast. After a break, we will come together for a period of meditation, followed by a morning class. Private interviews with teachers will be available on request.

This year our morning class will be “Imagining Bodhicitta,” led by Catherine Gammon. During the first hour (Bodhicitta and the Bodhisattva Vow), we will hear traditional teachings about the vow to awaken for the sake of all beings, with emphasis on texts of Dogen, the 13th century founder of Japanese Soto Zen. In discussion we will consider how these teachings speak to us in our lives. In the second hour (Writing as a Wisdom Project), we will work imaginatively, writing from prompts, reading and listening together, and responding to one another’s words. Our time together in both aspects of the class will be intimate and playful, and will offer everyone opportunities for participation and discussion.

Cost: Shared accommodations in a large room: $600; private accommodations in a small room: $750 (including meals).

Ecstatic Dance & Groove Garden Unite! The 15th Annual Blacklight & White Bal

December 30, 2015 @ 6:45 pm - December 31, 2015 @ 12:15am

Sweets Ballroom
1933 Broadway,
Oakland, California 94612

The Eve of New Year’s Eve - SWEETS BALLROOM becomes the re-entry point for all those grooveless individuals that the club scene left as disincarnates. Here, souls will no longer wander the empty, meaningless nights of clubland nullibiety, but descend like angels at the crossing. On the precipce of 2016 our hallowed halls become a place where an ecstatic threshold of light and sound galvanizes people into the world of the subconscious, tapping into the realm of Possibility and the unforeseen expression of the self: Dancers form human filigree as vexed vexillologists watch with arched eyebrows the freely unfurling of freak flags...unfettered by conventions of self consciousness.

Beneath the subconscious (and feet) a substratum of bassbins give loft to a thousand dance moves and the terrain becomes wildly unfamiliar. Individuals become lost in the retribalization of their spirit where everything is sacred, and nothing is forbidden (well, dance moves anyway).

And with THAT, please consider yourself supremely invited to peak your freak and join us for an evening of sublime escape into whackingly good melodies, super vibey people and whumpin’ sound on a big ‘ol wooden dance floor.

AND DON'T FORGET: WEAR ALL WHITE as we flood the floor with a deep hazy swirl of incandescent purples and blues, where dancers glow in an electric arc of vibrating white!

In the Zeitgeist that frames our era, our ethos is the “NOW” of change and revolution, and for us, it begins on the dancefloor…

Cost: $15
