Ana Murphy, Certified Yoga Instructor, and Kim Hanlon, Certified Grief Recovery Specialist, are mutually inspired to help others through the pain they know grief can cause. More than 40 life experiences can result in feelings of grief- all are welcome to find relief in our workshop.

Kim will lead the group in grief discussion, providing opportunity for participants to share what loss(es) are currently impacting their lives. We will create a space for all to relax, feel safe, and held in their grief. We want participants to know they are not alone in their grief.

Ana will lead two yoga sequences and special meditations. Our goal with the mediation and the yoga sequence is to help the participants to start the process of healing and awakening the Light and Love within them.

During meditation we will guide the participants to come within themselves and connect with their loss/their loved one. We also guide them through their 7 major energy points: The Chakras, to safely cleanse and awaken them, allowing the energy to flow.

Each of the two yoga sequences will focus on a different aspect of the healing process:

- The first yoga sequence will focus on opening the channels for the participants’ Life Force Energy, so it can easily flow to their physical, emotional, and spiritual body. This will allow the participants to become aware of the grief emotions, thoughts, and memories they are holding. We will then guide the participants through gentle yoga poses focusing in opening the heart chakra where most of the grief is accumulated. This process will help the participants to open to self-compassion, accept their own feelings of grief, and find harmony and calm within themselves.

- The second yoga sequence will focus on helping the participants to release tension from grief and discharge the negative feelings associated with it. To accomplish this, we will guide the participants through gentle yoga poses, dance, and music. We will end this second yoga sequence with relaxing yoga poses to help all absorb the benefits of the workshop.

Tea will be available.
