Experience events that capture the spirit and vitality of the Presidio... past and present.

Cruise back to the days of Flower Power and the Haight/Ashbury scene with Electric Headband. Playing your favorite 1960s tunes, the group is a revival of San Francisco’s most popular bands: The Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Big Brother & the Holding Company, Carlos Santana, and more. Get your groove on with a henna tattoo or face painting by Yogis Henna and Face Painting, choose 1960s-themed props and get your photo snapped in a classic Glass Coat Photo Booth, and enjoy fab food and drink for purchase from Arguello restaurant.

Doors open at 6:30pm

The Presidio joins in city-wide Summer of Love 50th Anniversary Celebration, recapturing an iconic time in San Francisco’s history that reverberates to this day. The spring and summer of 1967 brought nearly 100,000 young people to the city, joining a community that would change the world: influencing popular culture through music, fashion, and art; launching the natural and organic foods movement; protesting war with peace and love; and ushering in an era of greater connectivity.
