Lindy in the Park, the longest-running Lindy Hop dance in the San Francisco Bay Area (and perhaps in California!), is turning 20! To make this anniversary extra special, we're going to celebrate for the whole weekend!

FREE OUTDOOR LIVE MUSIC SWING DANCE PARTY
LAVAY SMITH & HER RED HOT SKILLET LICKERS
BAND SHELL, Golden Gate Park
SATURDAY, August 20, 3:00-6:00pm
We return to Lindy in the Park's original location at the historic Spreckels' Temple Of Music (Music Concourse Band Shell) in Golden Gate Park, and we’ll feature one of Frankie Manning’s favorite bands, San Francisco's very own Lavay Smith & Her Red Hot Skillet Lickers (http://www.lavaysmith.com/)! Playing in the authentic styles of the 1930's, 40's, and 50's, this internationally recognized ensemble features some of the finest and swingin'est jazz musicians around and has been an integral part of the San Francisco Lindy Hop scene since its rebirth during the 1990's swing revival. So let's turn back the clock and party like it's 1996!
