Authentic Movement is an inner self-directed somatic practice. It is done with eyes closed, in silence and in the presence of at least one witness. Through ‘body-mindful’ listening, participants follow movement impulses, reawakening essential body wisdom and deepening empathy with self and others. Simple in its form, the practice of Authentic Movement may take you into journeys within the depths of your soul to heal and to awaken your creative impulse. It is an opportunity to be present, and become aware; a safe space to discover and let emerge who you are; there is a world within so rich, that waits to be acknowledged, explored and expressed. At the same time, this sacred time-space can become a doorway of connection with the unknown, the numinous.

Authentic Movement is a practice that requires one to live it in order to comprehend it. In this experiential encounter, there will be a specific space-time for movement / stillness with the eyes closed. After each exploration, there is additional space-time for the movers to use journaling, drawing, clay, sound, or movement with open eyes, to integrate the experience, before we share all together with words in our final circle.
