Twenty years ago, the Cherry Poppin' Daddies burst onto
the scene with their instant hit “Zoot Suit Riot.” They haven’t slowed down
since, and their signature swing sound is just as infectious today as it was in
1997.
The Daddies officially regrouped in 2002 to resume
part-time touring, eventually returning to recording with the independently
released Susquehanna in 2008. Their tenth album, The Boop-A-Doo, a collection
of 1920s and 1930s cover songs, was released in January 2016.
