We had so much fun last year, we're doing it again -- a
New Year's retreat in the beautiful redwoods of Loma Mar, California!
Redwood Glen has dorm cabins as well as hotel-style
rooms, a variety of spaces for our dance and movement classes, several
fireplaces, and lots of opportunities for games and outdoor fun, including
pingpong tables, foosball, a tire swing, a horizontal net for climbing and
bouncing, and a playground area for the little (or not so little) ones. It's
about a 15-minute drive to the ocean, where you can enjoy the crashing of the
waves and the pelicans flying by. They have a new chef, who seems very aware of
the needs and desires of our dancers, including for organic food, and the folks
running the venue are committed to making healthy and delicious meals for us.
There will be classes in a variety of yummy movement
modalities plus nighttime dances and other festive events.
Prices include programming, food, lodging and daytime
childcare.
And speaking of food...at Redwood Glen, the venue is
responsible for providing our meals; we cannot run the kitchen ourselves. They
have a new chef this year who seems knowledgeable about the kind of healthful,
organic food we are interested in eating, and he and those managing the venue
are committed to meeting our needs in this area.

A) Tent/vehicle/RV camping with hookup
B) Dorm rooms (12 - 16 bunks with shared bathroom)
C) Hotel-style rooms (2 beds plus optional roll-away bed
with private bathroom).
