Seminar, Deng Ming-Dao, will teach several practices for wellbeing:
Eight Pieces of Brocade, Muscle Change Classic,
Marrow Washing Qigong & Tai Chi 10 Form.
Marrow Washing Qigong, famous for its youth
effect, rejuvenates the bone marrow and makes the bones stronger, more pliable
and more flexible. In addition, this qigong builds up a surplus of stored chi
energy in the bone marrow. Reported to slow and even reverse the effects of
bone loss. For people of all ages and experience.
The Muscle/Tendon Changing Classic: This set includes stretches, muscle strengthening, and exercise of one's internal organs. It comprises twelve movements. Appropriate for all ages.
Eight Pieces of Brocade: A Taoist qigong exercise. It is comprised of eight separate exercises, each focusing on a different physical area and chi meridian. Loosens up the body, improves the circulation of the blood and chi, and strengthens the internal organs. Easy set to do, appropriate for all ages.
Taijiquan 10 Form: This is a popular introductory routine due to its simplicity, symmetry, and suitability for a wide demographic.
About Deng Ming Dao
Deng Ming-Dao is a Chinese American author, artist,
philosopher, teacher and martial artist. He is an award-winning graphic
designer and fine artist whose work is in several collections, including those
of the Brooklyn Museum. He has been practicing Taoism, Chinese martial arts,
and qigong for more than forty years. He is the author of nine books, including
365 Tao, Scholar Warrior, Everyday Tao, The Living I Ching, and The Lunar Tao.
His books have been translated into sixteen languages.
He has taught through various martial arts schools,
including the classes of his Taoist master, Kwan Saihung, the subject of the
book, Chronicles of Tao ('The Wandering Taoist' trilogy). Over the course of
four decades he has trained with five teachers in Taijiquan, the internal arts
of Xingyiquan, and Baguazhang, qigong, weapons practice, philosophy and
meditation.
