Saturday, April 2, 2016 @ 6:30 pm to 12:00 am

Alameda Elks Lodge

An Edwardian Ball and "Doctor Who" adventure all in one: Due to some kind of wibbley wobbley, timey-wimey mix-up, the Doctor finds himself on board RMS Titanic on the evening of April 14, 1912. Again. This time with Rose, Captain Jack Harkness, and a formidable pair of antagonists. What a dilemma! And what will they do? Obviously, dance!

Bangers and Mash plays the greatest hits of the Edwardian age - from elegant waltzes, waltz mixers, and tangos to swinging Ragtime. For those wishing a brush-up on the new dances, we will have a pre-ball dance class at 7pm; then formal dancing from 8 to midnight. No partners needed; all levels of social dance experience are welcome.

Edwardian (1900-1912) costume, modern evening dress, or “Doctor Who”-inspired costume is admired but not required. There will be a no-host bar, a light snack buffet, and theatrical performances. Do join our cruise! What could possibly go wrong....?

Doors Open: 6:30 p.m.
Dance Lesson: 7:00 p.m.
Dancing Begins: 8:00 p.m.

Cost: $25
