Color Me Rad – Super Fun Race

When:
Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 10:00 AM

Where:
California's Great America
4701 Great America Parkway
Santa Clara, CA 95054

Color Me Rad is based on the Hindu Festival of Colors, otherwise known as Holi. The festive colors used are a sign of winter’s end and spring’s new beginnings. Or, in the case of RAD; the color represents the end of lame runs and the beginning of fun runs.

Start out as clean as a newborn babe, and throughout the run, our volunteers will coat you with liquids, powders, and gels of blue, green, pink, purple, and yellow until your face, shirt, and body come out silkscreened like a tie-dyed hippie on the other side. Each section of the run adds a new explosion of color to your clean, painter’s palate until you cross the finish line into a final blitzkrieg of color.

This is the royal rumble of color. Every 15 – 20 minutes, participants grab their color bombs and create a revival of the RAD sorts. There will be music, food, and more RAD runners than the 80s. Hugs are free and just like any good AA meeting, spectators are welcome.

All participants will receive: 5K entry, new 2015 Tour t-shirt, a pair of killer knee-high socks, a color pack, and free photos from professional photographers. A 2015 California's Great America admission ticket is also included!

The race is not timed, so you can walk. Color Me Rad 5K is a way for runners and walkers to be active and have fun. If you do walk, please make sure to stay to the right side of the course so that those wishing to run can pass you on the left.

Cost: $67
