Whether you are new to meditation or looking to deepen your practice, immersing yourself in nature is a wonderful way to reduce stress and reconnect with the things that are important in your life. Come join us for a daylong retreat in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

Mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) consists of a variety of simple mindfulness and meditation practices designed to cultivate greater presence and awareness in day-to-day life. The practices are about 'waking-up' to our lives and connecting more fully with ourselves, our loved ones, and the life we are living.

This silent daylong retreat co-led by Krista De Castella and David Perls offers an introduction to a range of mindfulness and meditation practices covered in traditional 8-week MBSR courses. These simple meditation and movement practices include guided sitting meditations, body awareness, mindful eating, stretching and mindful movement as well as opportunities for walking meditation in the trails and grounds around Jikoji Retreat Center. The daylong retreat consists of a gentle schedule with plenty guided meditation and freedom to simply unwind and explore the Jikoji wilderness. Space limited. Please bring your own lunch.

Cost: $55
