CASA CIRCULO CULTURAL, in partnership with the San Mateo
County History Museum and the Friends of the Library, and in collaboration with
Redwood City Parks and Arts, hosts the 7th Annual Celebration of Day of the
Dead- Dia de los Muertos in Redwood City’s Courthouse Square.
Come celebrate the Day of the Dead with us, a beautiful
ritual in which Mexicans happily and lovingly remember their loved relatives
that have passed. The celebration is FREE ADMISSION, we'll have music, dancing,
an elaborate altars contest, a procession down Broadway, a food court, vendors,
as well as free activities for children. We will also have a community Chalk
Art Mural that everyone is encouraged to participate in.
With 9,500+ guests last year, we will celebrate again
this year in hopes of continuing the Latin tradition and culture, and to share
with the community the cultural importance of this special day.
