Friday, January 26, 2018 at 7 PM - 11:45 PM
Roble Dance Studio
Palo Alto,
California 94305
The evening will begin at 7 pm with an introductory polka
class, followed by a class on Bohemian National Polka (BNP) at 7:30 pm.
Knowledge of basic polka is preferable to learn BNP, and the introductory polka
class will prepare beginners to learn BNP. Both classes will be taught by the
BNP choreographer himself, the acclaimed Stanford social dance instructor
Richard Powers.
Social dancing begins at 9 pm, with Richard Powers as our
DJ throughout the night.
Included in the evening's programming will be a special
performance from gentlemen on the Stanford Viennese Ball Opening Committee.
Playfully known as "Bropening," this tradition began in 2011 as the
Selix Formalwear Fashion Show; their last performance was in 2015, the year
that Selix Formalwear went out of business. After a two-year hiatus, Bropening
is back with another eye-opening tuxedo fashion show at Bon Bon Ball!
Cost: $2 at the door
