Taichi Neigong Standing Meditation Level 1

November 4 – 5, 2017 (Saturday – Sunday)

Five Branches University
1885 Lundy,
San Jose, CA

Students learn Wu Ji Zhuang, the first stage in Taichi Standing Meditation. Traditional Taichi training starts from Standing Meditation instead of Taichi forms/postures. This is how Taichi masters taught Taichi within their own families. With consistent daily practice of Wu Ji Zhuang, students learn the true meaning of “relaxation” for the body and “awareness and concentration” for the mind. Thus students can improve their physical and emotional well-being significantly and also build a solid foundation for advanced Martial Arts training if they choose to pursue the path. Students are taught how to correctly position the 18 key parts of the body: Head, Feet, Neck, Chin, Teeth, Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist, Finger, Chest, Upper Back, Abdomen, Lower Back, Hip, Buttocks, Knee, Ankle, and Crotch. Every student will get chance to feel the instructors when the techniques are demonstrated. Students gain deeper understanding of the forces of Yin and Yang that will benefit their TCM study. Students also acquire valuable skills to heal themselves through mind and body exercises that can be done anywhere and anytime. They learn to follow the way of Taichi at home, work and everyday life.

Releasing Grief and Guilt through EFT Tapping

Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM PDT

The Center SF
548 Fillmore Street
San Francisco, CA 94117

Let go of grief, guilt and shame, self-punishment, let go of the past, get back in the zone in your biz and life and feel peaceful. Grief and guilt can be so consuming, tapping can be so helpful for these emotions and help you feel lighter.

Tap into your vision.

Find out how tapping can change your life and you can shine and follow your dreams.

Tapping provides relief from chronic pain, emotional problems, disorders, addictions, phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder, and physical diseases. While Tapping is newly set to revolutionize the field of health and wellness, the healing concepts that it’s based upon have been in practice in Eastern medicine for over 5,000 years. Like acupuncture and acupressure, Tapping is a set of techniques which utilize the body’s energy meridian points. You can stimulate these meridian points by tapping on them with your fingertips – literally tapping into your body’s own energy and healing power.

Your body is more powerful than you can imagine… filled with life, energy, and a compelling ability for self-healing. With Tapping, you can take control of that power.

Release what is not working and move in the direction of your dreams.

We will spend the evening tapping away blocks to new beginnings, setting intentions and visualizing. This will be a powerful way to get focused, release blocks and tap into magic in your biz and life.

Drum Circle in Palo Alto Baylands Park

Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Palo Alto Baylands Park
2299 Embarcadero Rd,
Palo Alto, CA

This is one of our favorite locations for the full moon, but since this is not a full moon event, we'll meet earlier in the day. Mostly free form drumming with a little facilitation.

The park is BIG.... so, to find us, use the map link above and LOOK at the Google map. There should be a pointer that points to the exact location where we will meet. From 101, you'll go east on Embarcadero Rd, and pass the PA airport (will be on your left); take a left at the T; go past the duck pond (also on your left). After that, bear right and proceed to a gravel parking lot at the end of the road. The place where we drum is an area of soft gravel between the parking area and an arrangement of big concrete blocks. We can use some of the concrete blocks to sit on, but there are no benches provided, so bring your chair or stool if you want a guaranteed place to sit.

There is an outhouse nearby. Parking is close and easy. Dogs are allowed. Handicapped access is OK. This location is often cool and windy so bring a jacket or sweater. If you are sensitive to the sun, bring sunscreen because there is no shade.

Sexuality of the Chakras

Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM PDT

East Bay Community Space
507 55th Street
Oakland, CA 94609

Are you ready to develop a new relationship to your sexual energy?

Working with the chakras gives us the framework and inspiration to get out of our own way and explore new modes of sexual expression. Through this path, you will bring more consciousness and intentionality to your sex life, gain mastery over the creation and flow of sexual energy in your body, and connect that flow with your partner. You will also learn to use sexual energy to heal emotional wounds and clear psychological blocks in your body. This process allows us to become aware of and accept the strength and flavor of our sexual energy and then learn to use it with intention.

Here’s what we’ll cover

Our daylong Sexuality of the Chakras course will take your lovemaking to a whole new level. Drawing on the spiritual teachings of Tantra, we’ll give you a deeper framework to understand the chakras and how sexual energy manifests and moves in your body. You’ll be immersed in the direct experience of feeling this energy in a safe, supportive environment. And you’ll learn how to harness your energy both for healing and for awakening into your true radiant Self.

Sexual desire comes in many forms. Consider what it's like when your sexuality is expressed in its most raw primal animal intensity; or when it's erotically and deliciously lavished upon your lover like honey; or when it shines sweetly and delicately from the heart space. In this workshop, you’ll learn how the chakras manifest different flavors of sexual expression.

In the Tantric tradition, the chakras are a framework for working with the basic elemental energies of the universe using our body. Working with this system helps in understanding how energy and emotions manifest in us. Sexual energy is the strongest energy we feel in our bodies and expresses itself in different forms through our various chakras.

You can expect to:

·         Deepen your understanding of the different flavors of sexual desire
·         Understand what a chakra is in traditional and modern Tantric practice
·         Learn which chakra is your dominant for sexual expression
·         Explore different energies that may be more edgy or challenging for you
·         Investigate the emotional and psychological blocks on each chakra
·         Enhance your capacity to feel and express all these energies and broaden your range between them, becoming a more dynamic and conscious lover!

Facilitators: Ananya Jessica and Matt Sturm

Cost: $120

Tantric Expansion Cacao Ceremony in Oakland

Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM PDT

Skyhigh Odditorium
1255 26th St, #101
Oakland, CA 94607

Join transformational facilitator Nick Meador for a cacao ceremony weaving together holistic (mind/body/spirit) therapeutic practices to break through what’s limiting your true potential and start maximizing your life purpose and fulfillment.

This will be a "white tantra" experience focused on soul healing and life force expansion. We'll de-armor the body and clarifying the mind so that we can create more productive life patterns. This opens up the path to more bliss and connection with the divine, whether within ourselves, with a partner, or with a whole community.

*This is not specifically a couple's workshop. Individuals and pairs are all welcome.*

We’ll have an opening circle to support each other with intention for the ceremony. Nick will serve the indigenous plant medicine cacao, grown organically in eastern Guatemala at a family farm that he visited personally. Pure cacao opens the heart, deepens meditative experiences, and fosters inner/outer connection.

Then Nick will lead you through an embodied practice such as an OSHO active meditation or a bioenergetics exercise. These shake things up on the cellular level, so we can reset the nervous system and re-write the muscle memory to literally feel more free and energized.

Afterwards we'll have an interpersonal exercise that still involves the body but adds in a communication element. This could range from re-patterning unhelpful social conditioning, to guidance around safe touch and intimacy. Then Nick will lead an integration circle to close the journey.

Cost: $20 advance, $30 day of event

Clarion Alley Mural Project (clarionalleymuralproject.org) mission is to support, produce, and curate socially engaging and aesthetically diverse art as a grassroots community based, artist run organization. Throughout its history, CAMP has used public art as a force for those who are marginalized and a place where culture and dignity speak louder than the rules of private property or a lifestyle that puts profit before compassion, respect, and social justice. Clarion Alley runs one block in San Francisco’s Mission District between 17th and 18th and Mission and Valencia Streets.
