Taichi Neigong Standing Meditation Level 1

November 4 – 5, 2017 (Saturday – Sunday)

Five Branches University
1885 Lundy,
San Jose, CA

Students learn Wu Ji Zhuang, the first stage in Taichi Standing Meditation. Traditional Taichi training starts from Standing Meditation instead of Taichi forms/postures. This is how Taichi masters taught Taichi within their own families. With consistent daily practice of Wu Ji Zhuang, students learn the true meaning of “relaxation” for the body and “awareness and concentration” for the mind. Thus students can improve their physical and emotional well-being significantly and also build a solid foundation for advanced Martial Arts training if they choose to pursue the path. Students are taught how to correctly position the 18 key parts of the body: Head, Feet, Neck, Chin, Teeth, Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist, Finger, Chest, Upper Back, Abdomen, Lower Back, Hip, Buttocks, Knee, Ankle, and Crotch. Every student will get chance to feel the instructors when the techniques are demonstrated. Students gain deeper understanding of the forces of Yin and Yang that will benefit their TCM study. Students also acquire valuable skills to heal themselves through mind and body exercises that can be done anywhere and anytime. They learn to follow the way of Taichi at home, work and everyday life.
