An Evening of Sound, Intention and Healing

Sunday, November 4, 2018 at 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM

East West Bookshop
324 Castro Street
Mountain View, CA

Sound healing has been practiced for thousands of years. The Aboriginals in Australia use the didgeridoo. Native Americans use drumming and flute. Tibetan singing bowls are used to heal. All these practices help heal the body and mind through frequency and intention.

Each of our body's 50 trillion cells is in a constant state of vibration, and sound is vibration. Work with the sounds of beautiful crystal singing bowls to experience deep rest within, and allow our bodies to reset their systems.

Jessica Neideffer has worked with thousands of people since 2007, sharing tools and exercises she has refined over the years from Reiki, sound healing, NLP, and guided meditations.

Alameda Elks Lodge #1015
2255 Santa Clara Ave,
Alameda, California

Join us for a truly haunting evening of music, dancing, and costumes. Dance the night away with the San Francisco Bay Area’s most glamorous Undead at the 25th Annual Le Bal des Vampires at the beautiful and allegedly haunted Alameda Elks Lodge. There will once again be two separate dance floors: The elegant Edwardian grand ballroom for beautiful waltzes and other Victorian and vintage ballroom dance music by the early music ensemble Bangers and Mash; and the Nightfall Club, located in the Lodge's atmospheric Rathskellar, hosted by DJ’s Dark Moon and Persephone, playing dance music of a more modern nature for free-style dancing. Ball guests may wander to and fro between the dance floors as they please.

The event features light snacks, two no-host bars for our mortal guests, and special performances by Bella Donna and by the notorious Theater of the Vampires. Historical costume from the century of your rebirth, Gothic or Fantasy costume, or modern evening dress is admired but not required.

Sex Magic and Erotic Influence

Friday, November 2, 2018 at 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM

San Francisco, CA

-What kind of erotic presence do you hold?
-What is the range and depth of you sexual embodiment?
-What can you call forth from your lover?
-What are your edges and how do they hold you back from expressing and enjoying your full erotic potential?

Psychotherapist and Dating- and Relationship Coach Meriana Dinkova has created SEX MAGIC, a monthly workshop series in which we will share and play with some conceptual and technical tools designed to strengthen our erotic presence, deepen awareness, and enhance pleasure & connection during an erotic or sexual encounter.

To most meetups she will be also bringing different co- facilitators- speakers, sexuality experts and workshop leaders from related ares.

We are excited to open our toolboxes, which we have created in many years of studying and practicing a variety of approaches to influencing, attuning and aligning mind and body. We are also curious what new tools will come to life through your participation. There is a Sex Magician in every one of us.

SEX MAGIC is a combination of external techniques and internal practices. Most of them are aimed at heightening our ability to feel into the intricacies of our experience, to influence it’s quality and to strengthen our presence. We will also show some of its uses in uncovering, evoking and embodying erotic archetypes. They can be valuable and exciting allies for heightening sensitivity, strengthening awareness, sexual healing and for widening the range of erotic play.

This monthly event is meant to be a laboratory for diving deeper into the fabric of human experience and the energies of intention, bliss and presence. We will experiment with different ways of using these energies as vehicles for consciousness exploration.

Through lecture, sharing and exploratory exercises, we will journey on a discovery process that will deepen our erotic self and strengthen our ability to use different aspects of our consciousness to bring more awareness, richness and pleasure in our life.

Meriana is inviting expert teachers on related subjects such as tantra, sexual artistry, female ejaculation, multiple orgasms, orgasmic meditation and more.

Come solo or with a partner, but come prepared to discover new ways to make your experience magical!

Cost: $20 - $35 sliding scale.

Shakti Tantra: Awakening our Sacred Humanity

Friday, November 2, 2018 at 7 PM – 10 PM

745 Distel Drive Suite 109,
Los Altos, California

Kailani is inviting you to explore the Sacred Feminine energy in the new workshop. Shakti Tantra is about awakening to the beauty of being fully human while being aware of our infinite nature as energy beings. The ways She shows up are endless. We can feel her fill our hearts with ecstasy and eyes with tears in meditation, or when we see a child play, or when we watch someone weep without holding back. Shakti is in the setting sun, in an ant going on its way, in a wave or rage that rips one apart. Shakti is all of it. She is the pure energy of creation. As Shakti is awakening, our eyes and hearts open to the beauty of this world. We grow aware of the subtle currents of life, of our interrelatedness with all of the existence, of our own deep and complex humanity.

I will share with you the various flavors the Divine Feminine takes so we can know ourselves more deeply, so we can know the Truth, so we can feel it all, and ease and expand into the infinite possibility that we are while rooting ever more deeply into our unapologetic humanity.

This workshop is an exploration of historical treasures, your personal experiences and some experiential practices.

Facilitator: Kailani Shakti

Cost: $10 - $40 (sliding scale)

SAND 2018: "The Mystery of Being Human"

October 24 – 28, 2018 (Wednesday - Sunday)

Dolce Hayes Mansion
200 Edenvale Avenue
San Jose, CA 95136

“The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious.
It is the source of all true art and science.”
~ Albert Einstein

For most of human history we’ve been trying to comprehend who we are through the lens of spiritual traditions. Then the Age of Enlightenment ushered in science, giving us a powerful new way to look at ourselves. New disciplines such as cognitive neuroscience, evolutionary psychology, quantum physics and genetics are delivering fascinating findings, redefining our view of reality and human nature. At the same time there is a new conversation emerging in spirituality. We are challenging the traditional view of spirituality as esoteric, transcendent and removed from daily life.

This year at SAND we will be bringing together some of the brightest minds in science along with spiritual teachers from various traditions, to expand and deepen our understanding and experience of what it means to be human. Through these two lenses – of science and spirituality – we will be asking:
·         What does it mean to be fully human and fully alive?
·         What can evolutionary biology, neuroscience, and psychology tell us about human behavior?
·         What are emotions, and how does trauma lodge in our bodies?
·         How does language shape the way we think and perceive reality?
·         What can we learn from the new science of psychedelics?
·         How are mathematics, physics and cosmology redefining reality?

Understanding our humanity, the very essence of who we are and how we live our lives, is one of the deepest mysteries and biggest challenges. As we move into this exploration, what emerges is a completely new relationship to our spiritual life and to our idea of what an integrated human being might look like. Embracing our humanness means including our limitations and shortcomings as well as our unlimited potential, our suffering as well as our wholeness. When our heart opens to all of it, the truth of who we are begins to shine. The spiritual search is over. There is no refuge but this moment. We become lovers of what is.

Join us for five days contemplating and celebrating our humanity!

Cost: $425 - $500

Healing the Chakras with Crystals & More

Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM PDT

Love, Heal, Thrive
1028 El Camino Real
San Carlos, CA

As well as our physical bodies, we also have a subtle body that consists of channels of energy, (known as meridians or nadis). When the flow of energy through these channels slows down, or gets blocked, we can easily feel off balanced and most times become ill.

Chakras are energy centers that correlate to parts of our bodies, organs, or glands. Chakras go in and out of balance and alignment all the time.

Did you know that placing crystals directly on specific points of the body activates powerful healing and recharging?

In two short hours, you will learn why crystals "work", then jump right into learning about the 7 major chakras and all kinds of easy tips on keeping them open, balanced and shining bright.

We will close with a crystal/chakra meditation, which will include a journal prompt, so bring your yoga mat and journal! Each student will also receive their very own Chakra Crystal Kit to take home.

Space is limited to 10 participants.

Facilitator: Angela Rodriguez
