“There is no joy equal to that of being able to work for all humanity and doing what you’re doing well.” - Buckminster Fuller

We invite you to join your fellow astronauts in charting a course for Spaceship Earth, to make the world work for 100% of humanity.

Fifty years ago, Buckminster Fuller anticipated the need for a design science revolution in his groundbreaking book, Operating Manual for Spaceship Earth. Today, his insistence that “we are all astronauts” is more relevant than ever.

“I am pitting a world-around, bloodless, constructive, design transformation revolution against a world-around destructive bloody revolution. The Design Science revolution can be won by all. The bloody revolution can be won by none.” - Buckminster Fuller

Spaceship Earth Day is BFI’s annual celebratory event to connect the community of design science revolutionaries and those committed to creating a world that works for all. Though the work ahead of us is serious, joy puts the solar winds in our sails.

Come explore the inner reaches of outer space with immersive planetary and cosmic visualizations. Suit up in the astronaut photo booth. Blast off to the beats of DJ Timoteo Gigante formerly of MoTown Mondays. Expand your cognitive horizons with other wayward polymaths. And most importantly, help shape the trajectory of BFI's programs and collaborations.

Cost: $45 - $55
