Mushrooms are rising, and so are we! In this time of
turbulent changes in our global climate, consciousness, and beyond, the moment
is ripe for the Mycelium to rise!
We will gather at PLACE for sustainable living in
Oakland, California, for a mycological day of Regenerative Action, music,
potluck, and celebration.
This date was chosen to rise right after the film
screening of Fantastic Fungi with Paul Stamets and Louie Schwarzberg in San
Francisco, and right before a concert with Rising Appalachia in Berkeley,
followed by their Permaculture Action Day in Paradise, California. It will be a
full weekend of regeneration.
MycoRising is an immersive experience of mycological
education and hands-on action. At this action, we will be inoculating logs with
mushroom spores. The type of mushroom will depend on the donations we have
access to! We will also learn how to help remediate environmental toxins and
turn them into medicine, which we will put into action at a future event.
We will be learning about all the amazing benefits of
mushrooms and mycelium, getting our hands myceliated with actual
mycoremediation projects, dancing to amazing music, and having a fun time with
fungi!
With increasing research and practice proving the healing
and regenerative capabilities of our fungi friends, on both individual and
global levels, the legitimacy of the potency of mushrooms is on the rise!
However, the missing key ingredient in this Solutionary alchemy of planetary
remediation, is the hands-on action.
At MycoRising, we will gather to dance, sing, connect,
learn, eat, and have fun filling our hands with fungi! With expert mycologists
leading the activities, groovy heart-expanding music to gyrate our bodies to,
and an amazing mycelial community to connect with, we are certainly set to have
the best time of our lives so far, while helping to restore the mycosphere and
help heal the planet!

change-makers!

* Ecstatic Dance sets from DJ Fllow (Alexis Fllow Leiva)
and Audionai (Adionai Beth)
* Hands-on spore inoculating action, myco-education
workshop, & presentation/discussion with Seth Warner on magic mushrooms,
decriminalization, and safe practices.
* Open mic for song and story sharing.
* Potluck dinner! Bring lots of food to share! We
encourage dishes with mushrooms, like a soup! MyceliYummmm!
Cost: Suggested Donation: $10-20 to cover material costs
