Every lineage has wise and loving ancestors. Connect with
yours as a source of blessing, support and healing. Learn to engage your
ancestors in heart-centered group ritual in this daylong workshop.
This daylong workshop in ancestral lineage healing
encourages relating safely and directly with blood and family lineage
ancestors, cultivates connection with helpful guides, and creates boundaries
and support for troubled dead in need of assistance. Together we’ll engage
lineage ancestors in heart-centered ritual space through learning, experiential
practice and group dialogue.
All are welcome, including folks new to ancestor work,
those without much information about their blood lineages, and those with a
challenging experience of family. There are no prerequisites for this workshop,
though prior experience with inner work and spiritual practice is helpful.
We provide a securely held ritual container that gives
participants tools and practices for addressing grief, inter-generational
trauma and allows for deep-level family and cultural healing. We maintain a
high instructor to participant ratio to ensure folks receive lots of individual
support.
Both workshop leaders are experienced ritualists, trained
in Ancestral Lineage Healing by Daniel Foor of Ancestral Medicine. Gita
Thandika is yoga teacher, Ayurvedic practitioner and elder/sundancer in the
Lakota tradition. Raised in apartheid South Africa to a Zulu mother and Tamil
father, Gita brings a strong sense of social justice and respect for cultural
diversity. This spirit of reverence for resilience and creativity informs her
approach. Kirra Swenerton's people come from the British Isles and Ireland,
Italy and Armenia. She is an ecologist and performance artist and incorporates
earth-based ritual and participatory art creation into her work.
