Bliss Dance Festival is Bay Area’s very first dance
festival to celebrate Female Sexual Empowerment with live dance performances,
music, vendors, food, wine, and beer! We are inviting local female
choreographers to create original work that expresses what they feel or witness
about female sexuality. This is bold, exciting, and much needed in our
community.
Bliss Dance Festival is located near downtown San Leandro
at the site of Truth Is Beauty, a 55 foot
sculpture of a beautiful female dancer created by world
renowned Burning Man artist, Marco Cochrane. Surrounding the sculpture are
cemented words, “What would the world be like if women were safe?”. Bliss Dance
Festival embraces East Bay’s commitment to social change and social justice,
and we are here to make it fun!
