Woody Guthrie and Hanukkah? Who knew? Almost nobody. But
in 1998 his daughter Nora discovered a trove of songs that the celebrated
folksinger wrote in the 1940s. The Grammy-winning Klezmatics riff off Guthrie’s
original melodies and create new tunes in this unremittingly cheerful fusion of
Klezmer music and American sounds.
Cost: $40 - $60
