Curious about BoxingYoga? Always wanted to try the method
starting with the fundamentals? Seeking to deepen your BoxingYoga practice by
learning more about the foundation and how to advance?
This workshop is for anyone who wants to learn more about
the foundations of the practice, fine-tune boxing fundamentals and get an
intense workout!
During the workshop, we will introduce you to basic
boxing techniques - punches, footwork and boxing principles.
The workshop will include:
* A discussion and explanation of the BoxingYoga
techniques, methods and philosophy
* A 40-minute boxing fundamentals session at Hybrid
Training on Divisadero
* A full 12-round BoxingYoga session
* Question and answer discussion
We will meet at Yoga Garden SF for an info session where
lead teacher, Martine Hamers, will explain the history, purpose and benefits of
BoxingYoga. Next we'll take a field trip to Hybrid Training, our neighborhood
boxing gym, to learn the very fundamentals of boxing - how to punch, kick and
block safely. We will then return to Yoga Garden SF to break down the full 12
rounds of a BoxingYoga session covering 4 stages: warm up, strength, stamina
and balancing stretch.
This workshop is the perfect way for yogis, boxers and
fitness enthusiasts to set a foundation in the method, regardless of your level
of BoxingYoga practice. No experience required!
