Explore and express yourself at our (almost) New Year’s
celebration music, movement and rhythm circle!
In this special 3-hour event, we will combine song
circle, drum circle and movement to attune to the rhythms of our hearts, the
songs of our souls, and the dances of life as we say farewell to 2019 and
welcome to a new decade!
Activities:
* Guided meditation with drumming
* Setting intentions for the new year
* Joyous music-making through drums and other instruments
* Sharing our voices with simple songs taught in the oral
tradition
* Simple movement & dance
* Vocal exploration and play
* Sound healing with crystal and Tibetan bowls and other
instruments to close the evening
* Sharing of food and a champagne (or sparkling cider)
toast to the new year
Bring a friend, bring a playful spirit and a shared snack
for the table. Drinks will be provided.

The Basics:
We offer easy-to-learn drum rhythms, circle songs &
chants, and simple movements to help you get in the groove. All are interwoven
into shared moments of fun and community connection. No experience necessary –
and we mean that!
Instruments:
We have plenty of drums to share - however you must RSVP
if you want us to bring one for you. You are also encouraged to bring your own
drum, shakers, or melodic instruments such as guitar, flute, or uke, harmonica,
etc! Remember: We all have music and rhythm within. The “heartbeat” is the most
ancient and sacred rhythm of all.
Everyone who wants to explore with us is welcome and
appreciated.
Cost: Suggested Donation of $10-$25 sliding scale.
