Join Restorative Yoga Teacher Ranya Anabtawi for a Sound
Healing Journey with Forrest Newmann.
No Sweat. No Stress. No Stretch. Just Float.
About Restorative Yoga:
Restorative yoga is physically relaxing and emotionally
healing. Your heart rate drops, your busy mind frees itself from the workplace
grind, your body releases tension, and creativity expresses itself more
fluently.
Ranya’s soothing voice is her most distinguishing and,
perhaps, most powerful tool. She uses it to physically and mentally guide her
clients into their own unique version of rest.
Leveraging special yoga bolsters, blocks, blankets, eye
pillows, and perhaps even a yoga mat, Ranya tailor designs the perfect poses to
guide you into feeling weightless, comfort, and true deep rest. There is no
stretching, athleticism, sweating, or difficulty in Restorative Yoga.
The effort is in the surrender.
Sometimes surrender can be the hardest thing to do and
she knows how to get you there. It’s all about comfort. It is as perfect for
yoga beginners as it is for seasoned yoga practitioners.
WHAT IS SOUND HEALING?
The sound vibrations of singing bowls, gongs and chimes
guide us into a deep meditation. The healing vibrations pass through our
bodies, opening blockages, allowing our minds to quiet. A wide range of ancient
world traditions from Confucianism to the Pythagoreans’ claimed that sound
could not only "tune the soul" but affect our cosmological and social
worlds as well. The physiological impact of sound on the body, emotions &
cognition is apparent. Through the vibrations of these instruments, we
experience an inner calm and deep relaxation that enables us to journey within
and center.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN A CACAO CEREMONY:
The Cacao Ceremony is used to help us connect with the
beauty and sweetness within. You are invited to open the doorway of the heart.
Cross the threshold to a heart-opening experience of love and bliss.
Cacao has been considered a sacred plant for thousands of
years. It is known to carry a medicinal healing spirit for the heart. This
healing spirit of Cacao strengthens our connection with the wisdom of the
heart, the truth and peace within, and our connection to others. In the Mayan
Cosmology, Cacao is revered as one of the most powerful deities. She takes us
on a journey toward our inner-most self where wisdom and love are held.
Your journey with Cacao will be supported by crystal
singing bowl sound meditations and other vibrational instruments including
Medicine Drum and Rattles. Come to listen to the voice of your heart.
Pre-ceremony considerations

all stimulants and alcohol.
-Bring a bottle of drinking water.
-You are welcomed to bring an item to rest on the altar
