June 23 – 24, 2017 (Friday – Saturday)
Winters, California
The first Winters Guitarfest, which as the name implies
celebrates the variety, beauty, durability, and sounds of the acoustic guitar,
will be held in Winters on June 23-24, 2017.
Hosted by ARC Guitar and organized and sponsored in part by
participating businesses, the festival will feature twenty-five luthiers --
builders of artistically crafted guitars and other fine stringed acoustic
instruments, including mandolins, banjos, ukeleles and more. Displayed by their makers, all of these
instruments will be offered for sale.
A host of related events will add to the festival spirit,
including players' workshops, finger style performers, concerts and an ongoing
street faire featuring food and wine vendors.
Venues at the festival will include several locations in
the charming Winters downtown business district, with The Palms Playhouse and
The Buckhorn De De Vilbiss Room as the main showcases where the luthiers will
be displaying their beautifully crafted instruments. Workshops and other events
will take place at several other business locations nearby, including Turkovich
Family Wines, ARC Guitar, and Berryessa Gap Tasting Room.
Continuous Music on the Outdoor Main Street.
Main performers: Nancy Northrup, Stevie Coyle and Teja
Gerken.
Cost: $20/day, or $35/2-days
