When it comes to rock, there aren't many greater names
than Deep Purple. The British group formed in 1968, and have been bursting
eardrums ever since. Alongside fellow Brits Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath they
practically defined what we now call 'hard rock' on albums like Fireball and
Machinehead, and tracks like their signature number 'Smoke on the Water', which
is pretty much the first riff that anyone ever learns on the guitar. Now in
2019, they're on the road to tour their Long Goodbye tour. That's right,
another iconic rock band are bidding farewell!
