Experience the Divine shefa (flow) within your whole
being through free-form meditative movement to carefully-selected music. Our
meditation area offers short Jewish texts/ideas (like Shalom / wholeness or
Chesed / lovingkindness) for you to consider, if you like. All are invited to set their own kavannah
(intention) for their dance journey. Our open floor provides a safe,
non-judgmental / non-performance environment. No conversation gets you out of
your head to lets the music guide your free-form movement journey of
self-exploration. Connect with that “still small voice” inside, uncover new
personal insights, get exercise in a fun way, and meet some interesting new
friends.
Free and open to all (you don’t need to be Jewish or
believe in God). No dance experience
needed: if you can walk, move your arms, or simply breathe and “dance from your
chair,” you can enjoy this experience. You set your own pace and boundaries:
dance solely by yourself, or, if you choose, with others who are receptive.
Please eat a light supper before, wear comfortable clothing that’s easy to move
in, and bring your water bottle. Optional: yoga mat and vegetarian snacks to share
together afterwards.
