The Tamalpa Life/Art Process is a somatic based
expressive arts approach to self-discovery and creative breakthrough. As we tap
into the wisdom of the body and the creativity of the imagination to facilitate
healing and change, we call upon our “real life” experience as the foundation
of our exploration. In our work, we move and dance with embodied awareness,
write and draw our life experiences, and seek to connect with ourselves and one
another in a more honest, authentic and meaningful way. With Kristi Williamson.
No dance/art experience needed. Please wear comfortable
clothing. Bring a journal and pen for writing. Drawing materials provided.
Tamalpa Institute,
founded by Anna Halprin and Daria Halprin, is a non-profit movement-based
expressive arts organization. It is an internationally recognized school for
dance/movement-based expressive arts education and therapy. The work originated
at Tamalpa Institute has been taught internationally and represented by
innovative performance work around the world for over 50 years.
