Montuno Productions, Inc. is happy to announce The First
Annual Bay Area Latin Jazz Festival, to be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at
Rowell Ranch (Rodeo Park) in Castro Valley, CA, from 11:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
The Festival will feature local Latin music ensembles, as
well as internationally-renowned artists. There will be booth space available
for Bay Area merchants, food vendors, artisans, and community organizations.
Confirmed artists include Willie Panamá, direct from
Miami; José Luis Chapman "El Montuno," direct from New York City;
Latin Rhythm Boys; Grammy Award recipients Julius Meléndez, vocalist Carlos
Rosario, and percussionist Christian Pepin; jazz vocalist, singer-song-writer,
Lisa Andrea Torres; legendary producer, composer, arranger and pianist, Israel
"Izzy" Tanenbaum; René Escovedo; Edgardo Cambón & Candela; Dave
Bass Afro-Cuban Jazz Quintet; and DJ and radio personality Luis Medina.
This one-of-a-kind Latin Jazz festival will be held at
Rowell Ranch in Castro Valley, a picturesque park-like venue surrounded by
hills, with easy access from Highway 580; ten minute drive from Hayward, and 10
to 15 minutes from Dublin, Pleasanton, and Livermore.
