World Music Day, celebrating it's 11th year in Palo Alto,
is a free music festival that takes place in cities around the world every year
close to the Summer Solstice. In Palo Alto, 50 professional and amateur musical
groups will perform a wide variety of musical genres: jazz, pop, rock,
classical, world music, choral, etc on Father's day.
The Fête de la Musique, also known as World Music Day, is

The Fête de la Musique began in France in 1982 and has
since spread to more than 700 cities in 120 countries.
In the U.S. the event is often known as Make Music Day
and is now celebrated in more than 35 cities.
