"A braw evenin' tae dance away with the lads and
lasses"
The inaugural Scottish Summer Ball will take place at the
famous Verdi Club in the mission. Expect an evening of traditional Scottish
Dancing, where the 5-piece traditional string band 'Border Skirmish’ will
perform and teach all traditional Scottish dancing. The dances will include
classics such as 'strip the willow' and 'the gay gordons'. Don't worry if
you've never tried it before - from complete beginners to pro's, we will cater
for all!
To supplement the evening (and to help find our dancing
feet) there will also be included with the ticket Whisky Tasting with snack
parings to get us liquored up, Scottish style, to enjoy the festivities. The
venue also has a full bar to help us find our feet. Alongside these activities, there will be
other surprises on the evening, so join us for an evening of dancing,
celebration and good times - guaranteed this will be a night to remember.
Dress code is cocktail attire (remember you going to be
swinging around!). Kilts should be worn if you have one!
