They seek him here, They seek him there,
Those Frenchies seek him everywhere.
Is he in heaven
Or is he in hell?
That demmed, elusive Pimpernel

Dance the night away at home of the most stylish couple in London - Sir Percy and Lady Blakeney – at an utterly elegant ball introducing that scandalous new dance, the Waltz! The celebrated Bangers & Mash plays an evening of beautiful early waltzes and dashing 18th century English and French country dances. No partners needed, and all country dances will be taught and called.

For an introduction to 18th Century Country Dance style and patterns, join our pre-ball dance workshop at 7 pm. Formal dancing and mayhem follow from 8 pm to midnight.

Late 18th century costume, Regency costume, or modern evening dress is admired but not required. Feel free to wear your “Hamilton” costumes as well! The Prince of Wales, an intimate friend of the Blakeneys, was a great admirer of Angelica Schuyler Church, the sister of Eliza Hamilton!

There will be a light buffet and an excellent no-host bar. Your potluck contributions to the buffet will be very welcome! At half-time, the delightful Merrygold trio plays a selection of 18th Century English and French songs and tunes.

Cost: $25 at the door.
