Dance Movement Therapy Workshop 2.0

June 23, 2016 at 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM

Li's Wushu Academy
10268 Bandley Dr,
Ste 107-B,
Cupertino, CA 95014

Dance movement is a therapeutic form of exercise which is great not only for physical health but also mental and emotional health. Music itself can be very powerful. It can affect our moods and our state of well-being by triggering memories and other emotional experiences. When dance or any movement is set to music it can create a stress relieving, joyful and sometimes healing moment for those involved as well as increasing/releasing endorphins in the brain.

Please join us for the dance movement therapy workshop in Cupertino, where we will explore different attributes of the emotional and physical well-being through set of the creative and fun exercises, mixed with the intervals, filled with free-form dancing.

Main benefits you may expect:
- Getting a good ability to express suppressed emotions
- Establishing a positive and rejuvenating connection with your body
- Improving general physical fitness and gross motor skills development
- Processing internal negative beliefs, improving confidence and self-esteem
- Encourages creativity and imagination
- Connecting others people on emotional level
- Creating a positive life outlook, addressing stressful life events and depressive episodes

Important notes:
- No partner or previous dancing experience necessary.
- Please try to be on time, as it is easier to “catch a waive” if you are present from the class beginning.
- Clothing: anything that would let you move freely.
- Shoes: dancing bare-feet is the best, but you can also use soft flat shoes. Please no outdoor shoes on the floor.
- There is plenty of parking near the studio. Follow the GPS guidance, however as soon as you turn to the parking lot from Bandley Drive, you need to drive around the building to find the Li's Wushu Academy Entrance at the back. There are no entrances from the front or sides of the building.

Workshop is led by Tanya Pekker, LMFT, Lic.# 51651

Cost:  Recommended donation $15 (cash at the door).

Kabbalah Books a Magical Adventure: Free Workshop

Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM

Bnei Baruch Educational Center
22 Monterey Blvd,
San Francisco, CA

The Kabbalists are people who succeeded to penetrate "behind the scenes of our world" and discover the forces operating it. They understood the reasons for everything that happens in our lives, they discovered what destiny is awaiting us, experienced the most wonderful feelings one could feel. This amazing discovery and their journey they described in their books, was written so that we can experience those feelings and emotions. In the books they wrote for us, they described the "writer" who writes the book of our own lives. They saw where it leads us, for what purpose, and through which we open our doors to get into the story and affect our life’s plot.

• Gain knowledge about the power of Kabbalah
• Become familiar with the concept of desire
• Leave with the understanding of how to penetrate behind the scenes of our world and understand what forces lie behind it
• Experience the power of connection through discussion circles

Join us for a casual evening of discussions, Q&A, and lively workshops with other likeminded seekers guided by experienced Kabbalah teachers. We’ll watch thought provoking clips over coffee and treats as we learn about the basic principles of the Wisdom of Kabbalah as taught by Bnei Baruch.

Keksel Movement Yoga

Sunday, June 19, 2016 at 10 AM - 12 PM

Against the Stream
2701 Folsom St
San Francisco,
CA 94110 United States

Tibetan Keksel Yoga is the system which came down unbroken through oral transmission from Bonpo Zhang-Zhung Nyen Gyu lineages. The core of the transmission engages the body, mind and spirit of the practitioner in a series of breath, sound and movement exercises, each relating to a specific element. The five elements of fire, wind, space, water and earth, are the foundation fiber of Tibetan medicine and healing; their core theory being everything that exists in this universe is made of the five elements and therefore responsible for the formation of each tissue cell. In practicing Trul khor, one will be able to identify and alleviate physical discomfort or pain, emotional and mental disturbances. These easy to perform yet powerful healing exercises can be used as a support to other meditation practices or practiced alone to clear obstacles caused by disease or strong negative emotions, and to clear, balance and harmonize one’s energy field.

Rudramandir
830 Bancroft Way @ 6th St,
#110
Berkeley, California 94710

Wisdom of The Body is a sort of UN-modality modality where we create a field of love and spaciousness that allows the wisdom of the client's own body to come forward with what it needs to heal. Practitioners offer forms of contact as they intuit, and the client gets to choose what resonates with her need at the moment. We may use the floor for movement, chairs for dialogue, mat for full physical contact and massage table for more receptive contact, as client needs.

In this Introductory Playshop, you will get to witness, and, as time and your desire permit, experience, this deep and profound work, as well as learn about some of our upcoming offerings. Jill will give a brief talk about the nature of the work, and we'll devote most of the rest of the time to actually giving sessions, with those who wish to have them.

Cost: $20 in advance, $25 at the door.

Sonoma County Hot Air Balloon Classic – 2016

June 18 - 19, 2016 (Saturday – Sunday)

Keiser Community Park
700 Windsor River Rd,
Windsor, CA 95492

Celebrating its 26th year, a group of volunteers known as the Sonoma County Hot Air Balloon Classic will again launch the festivities and fill the skies of Windsor, California, with color and light! The 2016 Hot Air Balloon Classic is a two-day event at Keiser Park in Windsor that begins early Saturday, June 18th, and continues Sunday, June 19th.

One of the most spectacular sights during the Hot Air Balloon Classic is the Dawn Patrol. These early risers begin their weekend mornings before daylight to launch at 5:00 AM. Dedicated balloon pilots use heat to fill their balloons during the dark morning, making for a breathtaking sight. For those who consider 5:00 AM too early and have not yet risen, many more balloons lift off during the Main Launch at 6:30 AM. While the balloons fly overhead, the park will be host to food, music, and crafts vendors who turn out to serve spectators and enjoy the festivities, which run until approximately 10:00 AM, depending on weather.

Parking is available at Keiser Park and Windsor High School. There is a $5 cash-only fee for parking at both locations. Only those with pre-sale tickets will be able to park inside Keiser Park. All others will be directed to Windsor High School, where they will be able to purchase tickets for the day.
