Guided Chakra Meditation

Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 7:30 PM - 9 PM

Verde Touch
745 Distel Drive, Suite 109 (downstairs),
Los Altos, CA

Brian will guide you on a journey through the chakras with a "shamanic sonic massage" from Zorg's didjeridoo, for each chakra in turn. No previous experience with Kundalini meditation is necessary, as Brian will give an introduction to each chakra as the journey progresses.

Please bring mats, pillows/blankets and whatever else you might need to be comfortable lying down for an hour. This is primarily an individual, eyes-closed meditation focused on expanding the awareness of Kundalini energy. The didgeridoo will provide energetic support, but unlike some "sound healings", there will be no physical contact with participants - the sound will be ambient throughout the room.

Please join us to deepen your experience of the chakras!

Facilitators:

Brian teaches healers worldwide in the tradition of craniosacral bodywork. He received his PhD in Somatic Psychology at Meridian university, where he studied and practiced Imaginal Process: a sophisticated way of working with images to heal mind and body. The doctoral work helped Brian to Integrate his experience as a hypnotherapist, bodyworker, yoga teacher, and transformational dance educator. Brian is also trained as a Kriya Yoga and breathwork facilitator. His body psychotherapy as a postdoctoral intern integrates these experiences and offers a deeply healing foray into imagination, spirit, body, and mind.

Zorg spent seven years as a full-time Sanskritist while an undergraduate and postgraduate at Oxford University. His doctoral thesis is on Kashmir Shaivism, a school of non-dualist Tantra from the 10th Century. Having also been playing didj for over ten years, he discovered a strong connection between some ways of playing the didj and the energies of particular chakras. Zorg is very happy to be collaborating with Brian in offering a new kind of experience of Kundalini meditation!

Sound Healing Yoga Retreat at Green Gulch

Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM PDT

Green Gulch Farm Zen Center
1601 Shoreline Highway
Muir Beach, CA 94965

Join Saraswati Clere and Melissa Felsenstein for a restorative day at the beautiful Green Gulch center, next to Muir Beach. Come and experience a deep sound healing immersion in nature with the practices of yoga, restorative, and meditation.

Melissa, founder of Inner Sounds Yoga, will use metal gongs, chimes and crystal bowls to create an immersive experience of sound and vibration experienced for deep relaxation and to restore the nervous system.

The tonal properties of these instruments promote healing of the nervous system, digestive and metabolic systems, and of physical body as the brainwaves slow down to meditative and deeply restful states through a scientific process called entrainment. This process can help heal depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and insomnia, and to deepen meditation and spark creativity.

You will experience the powerful benefits of these meditative tools and deepen your yoga practice through stillness and desired rest. Take your body on a vacation from stress and tension and leave feeling refreshed, focused, and clear.

Cost: $145 - $155
