What is the Fillmore Jazz Festival?
The Fillmore Jazz Festival is the biggest free jazz festival
on the West Coast. It takes place in San Francisco over the weekend of July
1-2, 2023. The festival is a unique blend of art and soul that draws over
100,000 visitors every year.
What Can You Do at the Festival?
The festival takes place over 8 blocks on Fillmore Street,
between Washington Street and Geary Street. There are multiple stages where you
can listen to live music all day long. You can also browse fine arts and
crafts, and enjoy delicious food and drinks.
Who Can Participate?
The Fillmore Jazz Festival is sponsored by The Fillmore
Merchants Association. Residents, community groups, sponsors, local businesses,
exhibitors, and food vendors can all participate. The festival is a great way
to showcase artists, writers, entrepreneurs, non-profits, and SF-based bastions
to locals and travelers.
Who Will Perform?
The music program is still being developed, but legendary
Kim Nalley and award-winning Tammy Hall will close each festival day. You can
check the festival website for more information as the program is updated.
